Some folks live 51 weeks out of the year just for that one week on the Playa. What if you flipped that perspective? What if that one week on the Playa is for the 51 other weeks that you live? I believe that going to Burning Man is virtually pointless unless you bring a little bit of Burning Man back with you to the default world. Sure, get excited about that one week on the desert. Put in as much preparation towards your experience as you feel is appropriate. But don't forget to live your life now. Black Rock City is a pretty amazing place, but you know what? So is the default world. How can you see the default world through Burner eyes? How can you gift a little bit of Burning Man magic to the default world and to folks who have never been to the event? How can you help make this event a truly powerful force for cultural change the world over? Don't reserve flying your freak-flag for that one week in the desert, my loves. That's less than 2% of your life and that would be a damn shame.
